You Are Not Broken: Healing Your Relationship with Food and Fitness
Let’s get one thing straight…
YOU ARE NOT BROKEN.
You may FEEL shame in your daily life or FEEL disconnected from your body. You may carry guilt around food or frustration with your fitness journey. You may have been told (or silently believed) that you're “too much,” “not enough,” or just need more willpower.
But feelings or lies don’t dictate our worth or identity, unless we allow them to.
If you resonate with any of that, it means you’re human.
And you’re in the process of healing…which to be honest…is an ONGOING JOURNEY we can’t outgrow or run away from.
Diet Culture vs. Real Healing
We live in a world where diet culture teaches us to chase perfection—slim down, tone up, restrict, punish, repeat. It disconnects us from our own discernment and shames us for listening to the signals our body is trying to give us.
But healing isn’t about shrinking yourself into someone else's idea of "fit."
It’s about coming home to your body. It’s about learning to listen with love, not judgment.
As a fitness and nutrition coach who deeply believes in holistic health and healing the soul, I’m here to remind you:
Food is not your enemy. Movement is not your punishment. And your body is not a problem to fix.
Healing Begins with Compassion
Real transformation starts when you soften your inner voice.
When you choose nourishment over restriction.
When you move to feel, not just to burn.
When you start asking, “What does my body need today?” instead of “How can I control it?”
Healing your relationship with food and fitness means dropping the war and picking up curiosity and kindness. It’s tuning into your body’s cues, not overriding them. It’s trusting yourself again.
What Holistic Healing Looks Like
Healing isn’t linear. It doesn’t always look like green smoothies and morning workouts and it surely doesn’t look like following the plan someone else is doing. God created you uniquely different for a purpose. There’s no one else like you who has the same needs as you...
Sometimes it looks like:
Saying no to a workout because your body is asking for rest.
Eating the dessert without guilt because pleasure is part of wellness.
Journaling through a craving to understand what your soul is hungry for or in need of.
Rewriting the story that says you have to earn your worth through discipline and hustle.
This is the kind of work that goes deeper than a six-week shred or a macro plan.
This is soul work; this is finding peace in the stillness.
You Deserve a Safe Space to Heal
In my coaching, I hold space for the whole you—your body, your mind, and your heart. We don’t just talk sets and reps or grams of protein. We talk about your relationship with your body, your habits, your beliefs, your past experiences. And we build a new foundation based on trust, kindness, and freedom.
Because when you stop trying to "fix" yourself and start honoring yourself, everything changes.
Your energy shifts. Your confidence grows. Your health becomes sustainable. Your soul feels seen.
Final Thought: You Are Not Broken
You are wise.
You are capable.
You are worthy of a relationship with food and fitness that feels empowering, joyful, and peaceful.
Healing is possible.
And it starts with the radical, soul-deep belief that you are already enough—just as you are.
YOU’RE ENOUGH BABE. Let’s build from there :)
